50 Days of Prayer – Oregon Coast
Day 9
Relationships and Unity
Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
John 14:20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
John 17; 1 Corinthians 12:18-27
PRAYER:
Father God. You have described Your relationship between Yourself, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as being ONE. You have called the Church, although we are many parts, to be as One, even as You God, are One. You are the Head and we are the Body. Forgive us Lord for any wrong thinking, anything other than the mind of Christ, toward any other part of the Body, thinking more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. Help us to love the rest of the parts of the Body, giving honor to one another, having the same care for one another. Even as You prayed Lord Jesus, when we Your people are united in love, the world will know the truth of who You are. Unite our hearts even as we are joined to You. In Jesus’ name we pray for Your Church in our County ______________. I pray for the churches in my city _____________.
*And now, Lord, I ask You to reveal to my heart, areas of disunity that I have hung on to _____ (in my marriage, family, church, workplace, anywhere). Lord, forgive me where my thoughts and words have caused harm to others and to myself. Renew a right spirit of unity within me. Tell me what I must do to make things right: _______(listen and obey!). In Jesus Name. Amen!
