Strongholds in Our Land

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future.

John 10:10 … I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

PRAYER:
Father, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords. We give You praise, honor and glory today for Your grace and mercy toward Your children who have given up hope for their lives and futures. Today we stand in the gap for those who are contemplating ending their lives because they cannot bear the heaviness and pain. We lift up those whose lives have been devastated by drugs or alcohol. We cry out for those in deep suffering who have had abortions or are contemplating abortion. Hear the cries of the lost and of the lives stolen. Father, there are deep wounds in our land from hatred and prejudice. Heal the despair that has occurred here, the injustice done to the Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics and others of different racial origins. Where there is still hidden wickedness, we ask You, Lord to uncover it so that it can be dealt with.

Father, You said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future,” but the enemy has come in to kill, steal and destroy those hopes by clouding minds with hopelessness and negative thoughts. Darkness has clouded their eyes, so their hearts are weighed down with heaviness and confusion. But You have said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

We declare Your Word that says, “Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and to our God, and He will abundantly pardon.” Where the enemy has come in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him! We see Your water rising Lord! Healing waters, floods upon the dry ground! The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea! Let Your glory cover this land!

Father, You have said to Arise, Shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee. Where there has been darkness, depression, addiction, hopelessness, and confusion, we say LET THERE BE LIGHT! Father, remove the veil, the covering over these people, command Your Light to shine in their darkness! We call forth the Church to ARISE and SHINE in our land. We stand and cry out for Your mercy and healing. We join together in one accord and bind the works of darkness over these people in Jesus’ name and decree and declare LIFE over our land! We declare open heavens over this place!

Father, arise in the hearts of Your people! Your love is the key! Fill us with Your Spirit! Give us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that we in this land might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that You might be glorified! In Jesus Name! Amen!
