PRAYER:
Father, we honor You, and declare that You are Lord over our City of __________. We ask that a spirit of reverence and hope would come over our city as we honor You and that Your Spirit would spark the atmosphere with Your presence. We ask that You would pour out Your spirit of excellence and righteousness upon the leadership in our city, bringing blessing, vision and prosperity, and vigor to our community. Help us to love our city. Give us a heart to work to make it the place of restoration. Build up our walls, rebuild the ruins… Lord, we want to see our cities flourish in the courts of the Lord…restore and refresh us, Lord. Help us to testify to Your greatness. Let us be ready in season and out for the work that You have called us to do.
*Use me to make my city a better place to live… a place where Your glory dwells. Lord, direct me in how to do this: ____________ (listen and obey!). In Jesus’ Name we pray! Amen.
Now, I pray for the leaders in my City by name and/or office ______________.
