Protection of our Lands

Psalm 93:3-4 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the Floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. …

Joel 3:16 … The heavens and earth will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people. …

PRAYER:
Lord, we live in a beautiful state, a land of hills and valleys, forested hills, spacious grasslands and deserts, and many miles of coastline. Lord, first we need to repent for things that You abhor. We ask that You forgive sins that have been committed against our land that cause the ground to cry out. (idol worship, innocent blood shed, immorality of all kinds and broken covenants). We have been a weak and sinful people since the beginning of time, and we are grieved. Wash our land with Your precious blood, and wash us, Lord bringing forgiveness and restoration. We hear the news, filled with anxiety about things that could happen to our land, however, we believe the report of the Lord! We roll every anxiety over on You! We know that when we pray, You, raise up a standard, and that You hear us, so we thank you for this beautiful state which we love. You have given it to be cared for by us, both physically and spiritually. We ask for the outpouring of Your Spirit, raising up wise stewards over this land.

We ask for your hand of mercy and protection over the fault-line off our coast, and that You would keep the coastlands fixed and stable in the shadow of the Almighty God. Cause tidal waves to dissipate in Your Presence and be as a non-existent thing. The flood waters, they would not overtake us. Have mercy Lord! Lord, in a land soaked with the rains of heaven, we are grateful for the amazing ability You have to send these waters to the sea. Thank you for protecting our land from “over-flowing assaults”. We welcome a tidal wave of Your Holy Spirit to flood our land with Your presence and the goodness of the Lord to shake our hearts to depend on You! Lord, there are parts of our nation which are routinely devastated by hail, tornados and hurricanes. Lord, we pray for mercy and protection. Lord, we pray for all the forests, crops and grass lands of this nation. We pray for protection from insects, blights, plagues, and fire. Quench every fiery dart, (anything that would cause harm) that would attempt to ensnare our land. Lord, I ask You to remind me often to intercede for our State that You have given us.

*And now, Lord, I desire to be a wise steward of the land that You have given me in my life. I ask that You reveal to me areas in my life that require more in-depth repentance that cause my ground to cry out; any areas of idolatry, broken covenants, immorality and innocent blood shed. These can be healed when I bring them to Your throne of grace with godly sorrow. Forgive me now for ______________, wash me with Your precious blood, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and cancel the assignment from these things over my life, and the generations to follow. Now I purpose to serve You in freedom from these things. In Jesus Name, Amen
