Agriculture and Forestry

Exodus: 3:8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

Deut. 28:8,11-13 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.… And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand…. if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Lev. 26:4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

Deut. 20:20 Only the trees which you know are not trees for food you may destroy and cut down, …

2 Timothy 2:6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.

PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, we praise You and thank You that You have brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey. We are honored to lift up our farmers, ranchers and foresters who work diligently to be good stewards of the land. Lord, we stand in the gap for them and ask for You to cause the splendor of Your majesty to be poured out upon the land and on these servants, who work hard to produce milk, grains, and food for us, and lumber for our homes and projects. Indeed, our breadbasket overflows in this country. In Genesis 1:26 You let man to have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth … This is a land where Your glory dwells. You have supplied us with abundant rain, lush fields and amazing forests. Indeed, we grow trees better and faster than anywhere in the world! Give public and private foresters wisdom and good stewardship to supply needs now and for future generations.

Now, we ask that You strengthen and stabilize the markets for our farms and mills. We pray That there would be an abundance of productivity that comes from this land, and that the markets would produce stability and jobs locally for our agricultural and forest industries. You, are Lord of the Harvest!! We thank You for the abundant rainfall that protects us from forest fires and produces supernatural growth rates. We pray for protection over our livestock, crops and forests from the storms of life and from sickness and disease. Protect them in all their ways, Oh Lord! We pray for laws and regulations that support and strengthen our farmers and foresters, and for removal of weighty regulations that are impossible or impractical to meet. Raise up strong men and women who will be overcomers in the faith as they advocate for this cause, and give them favor and the ability to communicate when they go before the legislators.

*And now, Lord, I thank You for your abundant provision in my life that I take for granted. Help me to remember those who make it possible, that I might live with food on my table and shelter. I lift up those who produce food and timber or products, and I ask you to specifically bless___________ and encourage them as they produce for us. In Jesus Name! Amen!
