The Father’s Heart – Recovery for the Nation
Casting our Nets and Working Together in Unity
Matthew 13:47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, (fish)
John 21:6 “And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”
Revelation 7:9-10 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb … 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
1 Cor. 12:13-16 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.
John 17:20-21 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Father, You have called all kinds of people — every nation, tribe, people and language — to be the Body of Christ. We cannot effectively function apart from one another (I Cor 12). We are one body, one church, with many parts, working together to make a whole body. Lord, You, made us into one body by uniting us in You. This is an exceedingly great gift and we are grateful. Forgive us for failing to recognize the value in each part of Your body. If the kingdom of Heaven is like a net, and we the Church are together holding the net, then we are stronger to bring in an exceedingly great harvest of many kinds of people. We ask that You strengthen the churches to create a very strong relational net to bring in and retain a very large harvest. We know and desire to work together to accomplish this great task!
Father, we ask You to give Your church peace and even rejoicing in the differences between our churches. Jesus, You left us with Your peace when You returned to the Father. Let your church remain in Your peace and work together. Help our pastors and leadership walk in faith not fear! Help us walk in true friendship with one an-other, and unity in You. Keep us from falling into the enemy’s trap of fear and isolation from our brothers and sisters in Christ. Father, You have also given Your church the Holy Spirit, who is with us. Thank You for Your presence! As a church we choose to believe and act on your words. Help us know Your word and handle it accurately. Though bad news is all around us may Your words dwell within us. We declare You are our firm foundation.
Father unite Your church around the Lord Jesus Christ. Unite us in Your love. Not a love that originates from us but Your love. Give us a love that pushes through our different giftings. Help us to recognize and appreciate the various parts of the Body of Christ. Bring us together as the complete Body of Christ working together in love under Jesus’ headship.
Father strengthen us to remain on mission! We know nothing surprises you and that every trial presents opportunities for your church to ‘be the Church’. Help us to see, hear and understand what you are saying to Your church, then obey and reach out in service to our nation and the world. Jesus, help us see like You see, and recognize everyone’s great value regardless of the color of their skin. Give us Your boldness to witness in truth and deeds, modeling unity so others will come to know Jesus as Savior.
Father, unite us in mission. We believe there is a great harvest that is ready now to be harvested. Lord of the Harvest “send out” workers all over the world. In Revelation, You show us a heavenly event of worship. The worshippers are from EVERY nation, tribe, people, and language. Lord of the Harvest, unite Your church so this mighty harvest will be brought in to Your kingdom. In Jesus name we ask Amen!
